Convert screenshots to editable text in Figma

FigOCR is a Figma plugin that transforms screenshots into editable text. To use the plugin, you’ll need a free FigOCR account which you can create from within the plugin.

Get started

Make sure you have Figma open. Go to the community plugin page and open the plugin in a file.

  1. Open the Actions menu (⌘ + K or ⌘ + P on Mac or Control + / or Control + P on Windows).
  2. Search for “FigOCR > Show user interface”.
  3. Log in or create an account if you haven’t already.
  4. Select a screenshot (or sketch) in your Figma file.
  5. Click the “Process image” button in the plugin.
  6. The plugin will generate a Figma layout with editable text.

With the user interface open, you can simply select an image and click the “Process image” button to convert it.

If you are looking for a faster way to achieve the same thing, use the “Process image” command directly from the Actions menu.
